On Dec 25, 2007 my sister and I were in Levittown, PA and were outside messing around with her new telescope. All she wanted to do was get it calibrated and see the moon clear for once. My family came outside briefly to check it out but their toes were numb and went back inside. My sis and I stayed out to see what else was out there. We looked to the eastern sky and saw something zooming across the sky. I thought it was a plane with ice on its wings but I was told no. It sparked a couple times at the base and had a long tail. It went on for about a minute then started to decend, still within the eastern sky, heading north. I am wondering if anyone else noticed it and what it could be. If it was a plane that went down I think it would have been on the news. I thought it was so cool to witness something like this and I hope someone else saw something too. If you saw something else let me know too.

ok well in the traditional market economy, an increase in supply or decrease in demand would lower prices. however, there's no practical way to increace the supply of gas: there's a finite amount that is not being renewed, and even if we started drilling all the worlds oil fields today it would still take 10 years or more to have oil pumping from the wells, so we're essentially stuck with the current supply. demand's not going down any time soon... more people=more cars=more gas, and china and india especially have a LOT of people that are getting cars. the government could theoretically force oil companies to lower prices, but that just lowers incentive to drill and refine the oil in the first place, causing a further reduction in supply and a possible shortage. so, what do you do?

Wired doorbell doesn't work?

have a wired doorbell that stopped working after four years. purchased a new transformer, bell and chimes. installed all exactly that way the previous one was installed. still does not work. in fact, new transformer gets pretty hot; but, in testing the bell wire terminals on the front of the transformer with a low voltage tester, it does not show any juice. we have tried a transformer, originally, alone, and that got extremely hot, to where you could smell burning and that's what made us purchase everything new, including a second new transformer. we think that's where the problem is starting from, the transformer. does anyone have any ideas why this is happening and how to correct the problem? thanks for your help.

Birkenstock shoe size, help!?

There are a couple of things it may be. But since you say you have no heat I would check this first, you have a circulator pump ( it looks like a electric motor connected to the pipes) and it may not be working what it does is push the hot water through the system,you may have air in the lines some radiators have a bleed screws which you can open to release the excess air which can stop the water flow,you would do this at every location.You most likely need to call a professional to make the repair. Distancing myself from my closetted "boyfriend"?

I'm in a 'relationship' with a clsoeted case. His friends and parents don't know about his situation yet so I need to keep a low, VERY low profile around them. I admit, I was driving too fast in a neighborhood when I should have been driving slower. However, when I parked my car in my garage, a big man from my community knocked on my door and when I opened it, he threatened if he ever saw me driving that fast he would drag me out of the car and beat me. I told him that I was sorry for driving so fast but he had no rights to knock on my door, on my property, to threaten me like that. I was driving too fast and I will slow down in the future, but is this threat reportable to the police because he wanted to fight with me but I closed the door. I think that he could have said he would call the police if I drove so fast again, but definitely not if he threatened me with bodily harm. I have one witness: My father heard and saw his threats. I am not mad at his reaction to my driving. I should be careful next time. However, the fact that he was on my property threatening for a fight makes me believe he overreacted. Most people would do well just eating a good, balanced diet. Fresh fruits and veggies, lean protein (chicken ), whole grains. Try to cut out all processed foods. Go for whole wheat bread instead of white. Mustard instead of mayo that kind of stuff. The more natural products you can eat the better. Brown rice instead of rice a roni, carrot and celery sticks with peanut er instead of chips. Just watch your meals, try to eat well and try not to eat processed/junky foods. Also make sure you eat enough because if you don't your body can go into starvation mode and actually start trying to save fat.

Learn to calm down and chill. There's nothing you can do about crowded situations. I am the same way. I am very impatient and get really irritated when something or someone gets in my path and slows me down. It's really bad when I drive. My daughter has Tay Sachs Disease, what are some good activities I could do with her?

My daughter has a form of Tay Sachs disease (a genetic disease), she has progressively been getting worse. She experiences a lot of involuntary movements and is unable to walk properly and can't control her bodily functions at all, She's lost a lot of weight and awareness. She is unhappy sometimes but I'm not sure what I can do to cheer her up. I was just wondering if anyone had some suggestions on some kinds of activities and things I could do that might help her (mentally and physically)? I know I'm not going to cure her but I have to help her the best I can. I've been taking her to the swimming pool for a type of physical therapy. If you want lightweight speed and durability, go with the puma V series, meaning v1.06, v1.08, or V1.10. Theyre ridiculously lightweight and suprisingly durable. I've owned the 06's and 10's and loved them both. My 06's last for a year and a half of year round playing and the 10's are still working fine. Plus they don't even feel like theyre on your feet and i have never gotten any blisters, even after playing 5 games in a weekend for tournament. I had shin splints and I went to the sports doctor, she suggested you get little styrophoam (sp?) cups and fill them halfway with water and freeze them, cut the bottom off and you have a little ice stick, rub that and icy hot on your legs after practice. For mental health experts: is there always going to be someone who is so "out there" that they are beyond help

I know that this is not technically answering your question, but I feel like I am beyond help. I have actually had a psychiatrist tell me that she didn't even know what to do with me. I had to see someone else then. I have been in and out of the hospital so many times, I have lost count. I really want to get better, but I have been to so many different therapists, hospitals, doctors, etc. I don't think it is possible. I'm sorry, I know that wasn't what you were looking for, but I figured that it would add another perspective to the answer if you heard it from a patients point of view. (By the way, I'm going to school to become a psychologist) :)

98 Pontiac Trans Sport 3.4 w/coolant coming out the top of the overflow tank while engine is cold?!?

I've been losing about a half gallon or less of coolant a month, but haven't been sure where it's been going. Usually I've waited until the low coolant light comes on before I refill it. Then, for the first couple of weaks I can smell a hot coolant smell inside the van while driving, especially when I come to a stop it gets stronger, though it never overheats. The smell goes away, but then a couple of weeks later the low coolant light comes on. Also, the level in the overflow tank goes down too, but never empties. It seems to remain about half way to the full mark (from the bottom) steadily. This morning I refilled the radiator with the engine cold, then went out 2 or 3 hours later and found a very small puddle underneath. I followed the drips all the way back to the top of the overflow tank, where the cap is, which is like a rubber stopper. The radiator fluid was condensating on the bottom of the cap and traveling up and out of the tank. How is this happening? Freak incident?

Mosquitoes, Help!!!!?

I have recently moved from England to Mexico and am getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.Some of the bites i get swell up to over 15 cm diameter and i have a rash where i have been bitten, presumably as an allergic reaction to the bite. I have tried vit B tablets, sprays and creams to prevent them from biting me but nothing seems to work. Alcohol works but only for a vey limited time and i cant be drunk all day everyday, as much as i would like to be. A mosquito net is not an option because i am very claustrophobic and couldnt sleep with this over me. Is there anything else i can try?

If you don't know - a brad is usually a circular on - looking embellishment that has 2 prongs that fasten it to something. So the brad was the center of the flower. Darling !!! Looking for a new cheap mobile phone/pda or smart-phone WITH WIFI.?

Im looking foward to buy a new handset till next month or on christmas but i can't find a good one. The one's I have in mind seem to have some flaws that worry me. The first one is the Nokia C3, it looks like a good phone with a querty keyboard, though from the reviews I read it seems that the Operating system is outdated and it costs 109€ . The second one is the Samsung Monte. It's a touch screen smart phone. The design is great, but many people complains about the browser not opening some web pages due to flash problems and due to the phone's RAM. It also seems to have low battery life (300h stand-by compared to the 800 hours of the C3) it's also the most expensive of the 3 (129€) . Finally the one i prefer. The HTC Touch Viva its also a touch screen pda equipped with windows mobile 6.1 pro. I would have already bought it but i can't find it anywhere and i don't want to buy it on the internet (i live in portugal). It costs (115€). So if you can help pick one of this 3, or advise a new one please do. Take in consideration that it's price should be less than 150€and it must have WI-FI and Mp3/Music player.
