Do you agree that the presidency of the United States has finally jumped the shark?

We have an idiot president in office who starts stupid wars and blows the hugest budget surplus in modern history, and our current candidates are a man who got there only because of his race, as well as a former POW who got there only because he's a former POW. So in your opinion, do you think the presidency of the United States has finally jumped the shark? How would you propose resolving this issue?
