For mental health experts: is there always going to be someone who is so "out there" that they are beyond help

I know that this is not technically answering your question, but I feel like I am beyond help. I have actually had a psychiatrist tell me that she didn't even know what to do with me. I had to see someone else then. I have been in and out of the hospital so many times, I have lost count. I really want to get better, but I have been to so many different therapists, hospitals, doctors, etc. I don't think it is possible. I'm sorry, I know that wasn't what you were looking for, but I figured that it would add another perspective to the answer if you heard it from a patients point of view. (By the way, I'm going to school to become a psychologist) :)
